>Match Today: Bangladesh v England, 1st Test (2010) Day 5, Chittagong

>

Bangladesh did well to extend the game into day 5 with Siddique and Rahim batting well to stall England. Siddique scored a nice 68 and Rahim is also nearing a fifty. Bangladesh would do even better to extend this game into the final session of the test. However I see the match getting over by 1 hour after lunch, but would love to see Bangladesh prove me wrong.
Can Siddique, Rahim and Co. pull off a miracle and save the game? Dont count on a miracle but you never know  Stay tuned for the final day.

>Match Preview – Weakened England should still be too strong

>Big Picture
It’s been so far, so good for England in Bangladesh, albeit with the occasional fright along the way in the one-day series and a troublesome list of injuries to their quick bowlers. Even though their strike power has been reduced they should still have too much class for the home side over this short series, but it’s

>Flintoff: Gough the man for England role

>

Andrew Flintoff has backed Darren Gough as the man to replace Ottis Gibson as England’s bowling coach.

Gibson left the post to become the new West Indies coach and former South Africa paceman Allan Donald has been widely tipped to step in but Flintoff believes Gough, who took 229 wickets in 58 Tests for England, would be the perfect choice.

“I know Alan has been mentioned along with Michael Kasprowicz,” Flintoff told The People. “They are nice blokes but I’m sure Darren would do it. He would be great. He knows bowling inside and out so they should ask Goughie.”

>IPL 2010: England’s Ravi Bopara may give IPL a miss

>

England’s top-order batsman, Ravi Bopara has said that he will delay his departure to India for the Indian Premier League due to the security issue in the country. Bopara said that he has not yet decided on whether he will go or whether he will give the tournament a miss.

Bopara plays for Kings XI Punjab.

However, the chief commissioner of the tournament, Lalit Modi, said that he had had a talk with Bopara and that there was no truth in the fact that Bopara was pulling out of the IPL.

Bopara said that while he was looking forward to coming to India, the issue was Rig Dickason’s report which had cautioned the players from featuring in the tournament. The report had also said that the terror threat by the extremist elements was a creditable one, and the players need to get further clarity about the security situation in the country.

Earlier, Lalit Modi had lashed out at Ricky Ponting for trying to persuade the Australian cricketers into not going to play in the Indian Premier League. Modi had also said that the players were free to miss out on the tournament, but ran the risk of being dumped out of the tournament from net year onwards.

IPL begins from the 12th of March and will see Dale Steyn go into the tournament as a favourite to end with the Purple Cap – awarded to the top wicket-taker. He shares this position jointly with Muthiah Muralitharan and Sporting Bet offers 7/1 for them to get there. Harbhajan Singh is 8/1 (Sporting Bet) end up as the best bowler of the tournament. Deccan Chargers are said to be favourites to end up as a side to smash most sixes in the tournament (3/1 at William Hill) and why not, given their power-packed line-up in Adam Gilchrist (12/1 at Sporting Bet), Andrew Symonds and Rohit Sharma.
